Join Chef David as he teaches you about creating delicious and nutritious sushi at home.
What you’ll learn
In this class you will learn a little about the history of sushi, the basics of making it, how to properly cook your rice, sourcing local products for the best sushi, the proper tools you need and more.
He will cover in-depth:
- How to choose your ingredients
- How to prep
- Constructing the rolls
- Garnishing
- And, ideas for presentation
3 different styles
You will learn about making 3 different styles of sushi, including:
- Nigiri
- Maki
- Futomaki (inside out)
Bonus Instruction!
Chef David is going to cover two other dishes in addition to the 3 styles of sushi:
- “Sunomono” a Japanese cucumber salad that is light and delicious.
- “Kakiage”, a tempura dish with a variety of chopped vegetables and sometimes seafood.
Both are easy and go with so many different types of food as a side.
Things you need to know
- We are limiting this class to 12 people. First come, first served.
- This will be a hands-on class where you will get to practice as you learn.
- We will do most of the prep work so you can enjoy learning and creating.
- Be a few minutes early. This class will start on-time and you will not want to miss anything!
